TAX PROTESTING
"THE IRS IS ILLEGAL"
Don't claim that taxation is illegal. Don't believe what you've read about the IRS being illegal, that you're a
sovereign state who doesn't have to pay taxes to the United States government, or other IRS shams floating around the internet. The federal government needs
money pay for their expenses, and the IRS has been created as the collection agent. If Congress abolished the IRS as some politicians propose,
another organization would be created to replace them. The federal government needs money, so there's no reason to expect such an organization to be any less aggressive.
"I DON'T HAVE TO PAY TAXES"
Don't become a "Tax Protestor" by claiming that you're not required to pay taxes for some reason. Keep your credibility. If an employee
of the IRS has any discretion to be lenient or flexible in their job, they won't be if you are a tax protestor. They love to
make examples of people like you. They can and they will.
"THE IRS IS WRONG!"
Do challenge the IRS when you believe that their claim is wrong. There is nothing wrong with challenging IRS decisions or assessments. You
don't have to pay taxes that you don't legally owe, but
you have to prove your case. Depending on your facts and circumstances, you can persuade the IRS that they don't have all
the facts or that they've made an error. Never be afraid to fight, but keep your arguments legal and logical.
If you're a tax protestor, please don't call us and waste our time. We only want to help those who want to help themselves.
