TAX COURT LITIGATION

TAX COURT

Often, the IRS is convinced by taxpayers' arguments and reconsiders the taxes owed. Some taxpayer's IRS Tax audit results need to be corrected. If this has happened to you, instead of paying the tax, you have the right to have your argument heard again by the Tax Court. Not all tax disputes end in tax court litigation, but some do. We help taxpayers who are in tax trouble deal with the IRS, including going to the Tax Court. We advocate individuals and businesses in their complexities and procedures involved in tax disputes and when it is in their best interest to go through litigation against the IRS.

In Tax Court, taxpayers can pursue relief before they are required to pay the taxes. That is a big advantage for many taxpayers. Others prefer to pay the tax and then contest it with the IRS. We can work with you to determine the best action for your tax problem.

If you decide to go to Tax Court, we can help you comply with their strict guidelines, assist you in preparing for the hearing, and represent you through the Tax Court proceedings. Most people find this process very stressful. We can help ease that burden by representing you in your tax dispute.
