The IRS is receiving $80 billion to fund the hiring of an estimated
Eighty-seven thousand new employees in all departments and new computer technology into the next decade.
The new employees are intended to replace the large number of retiring employees over the last few years and into the next
decade to keep the required level of staffing. New technology is expected to allow more taxpayers to file their tax returns
for free online.
